DIRECTION FOR USE
TSAR II® INJECTOR

Description: TSAR II® Injector is a reusable, autoclavable instrument which is intended to implant foldable IOLs in the eye from the cartridge.  The cartridge is put inside the injector body, the plunger is pushed and the IOL is delivered in the desired place through the small incision.
The reusable injector is supplied non sterile and should be sterilized prior to the initial use. For detailed cleaning instructions, please, refer to the Instrument Manual attached.

CAUTION

• The tip of the injector should be protected with a protective cap immediately upon use. Test the injector prior to surgery – if any problem is found, please, do not use the product in surgery and contact Rumex Intl Co for problem resolving.
• Direction of the injector tip in the eye, pressure applied to the plunger of the injector and the speed at which the plunger is moved are all at the discretion and control of the surgeon.  It is the responsibility of the surgeon to verify the proper condition of the injector prior to each use.

Important IOL Loading and Implantation Information

When the plunger is advanced, the contact on the ramp of the cartridge will be felt by the surgeon as the initial resistance. The same will be felt when the plunger exits the cartridge from the distal opening. The resistance does not impact the implanting process.

General Care Information

• A new injector is supplied non-sterile and should be ultrasonically cleaned and sterilized prior to initial use.
• Ultrasonically clean the injector at least once per day
• Do not allow blood, tissue or saline to dry on the injector’s surface
• Do not use saline (BSS) to rinse the injector
• Always use de-ionized water for final rinsing and clean the injector in the vertical position
• Do not use metal brushes and abrasive materials for injector cleaning
• Us the protection cap to cover the injector’s plunger
• Store the instrument in the protective tray
